How long do training programs typically last?: Program length varies depending on your dog's age, current skill level, and goals. Basic obedience programs often run 4–8 weeks. Gun dog development programs can range from 8–16 weeks or more for comprehensive work. We'll discuss timing when we evaluate your dog's needs.
What breeds do you work with?: We work with a wide variety of breeds. Our gun dog programs are designed for retrievers (Labs, Goldens, Chesapeakes), pointing breeds (GSP, Vizsla, Brittany), and spaniels. Obedience training is open to all breeds and mixed breeds.
What age should I start training my dog?: The earlier the better. Puppies can start foundational work as early as 8–10 weeks. For gun dog programs, most dogs begin structured training around 6–12 months. Adult dogs can absolutely be trained — it's never too late to build good habits.
Will I receive updates on my dog's progress?: Yes. We believe communication is a key part of the process. You'll receive regular updates during your dog's program so you always know how things are going.
Do you offer boarding during training?: Yes, dogs enrolled in training programs can board with us throughout the duration of their training. This is the most effective way to run a structured program with consistent daily work.
